An easy to read history of Atlin's gold rush boom, following the highs and
​lows of a small and remote town bent on surviving and thriving in splendid isolation.

WIRES IN THE WILDERNESS by Willian Miller
is about the Yukon Telegraph, built during the Klondike gold rush from southern
British Columbia to Dawson City. The book recalls the building of the line
and the men who maintained the telegraph line from their isolated stations.
